Black Friday Janitor 100% Completion Checklist
A source-backed 100% Black Friday Janitor checklist covering 18 stores, four mall areas, task milestones, maximum level and the final mall audit.
Questions answered
How many stores have individual completion achievements?
Which mall areas have completion achievements?
Black Friday Janitor’s 33 Steam achievements give you a practical framework for a 100% run. The list includes task-count milestones, 18 store-completion achievements, four mall-area clears, one maximum-level achievement and the final full-mall completion goal.
The important distinction is that 100% achievement progress is not the same as “the mall looks clean.” A store can look finished while one piece of rubbish, spill, fallen object or misplaced product remains. Use achievements and the in-game task lists as audit signals instead of relying only on appearance.
Phase 1: establish a repeatable cleanup loop
Before chasing completion percentages, learn one route that you can repeat without losing your place:
- Survey one bounded store or mall section.
- Return obvious products to the correct local shelves.
- Collect rubbish.
- Clean visible spills.
- Reset fallen objects.
- Re-check the task list before leaving.
This keeps progress attributable to one location. The cleaning guide explains the four task types and the local-first workflow in more detail.
Phase 2: clear the 18 named stores
The published achievement catalog includes one complete-every-task achievement for each of these stores:
- ABC Cinema
- Appliances Galore
- Art & Craft
- Everyday Basics
- Fifth Avenue
- Gilberts
- Hats & Things
- Home Run
- Lavenne Beauty
- Lime Tech
- Looksee
- Peers
- Sandpiper Shoes
- Specialty Jewels
- The Boardroom
- The Luxury Store
- The Tailored Man
- Verdara
Use the store directory to match each store with its achievement and any public location evidence. Dedicated walkthroughs currently exist only where there is enough useful source or player evidence to justify a real page: ABC Cinema, Gilberts and Peers.
That limitation is intentional. This wiki does not create fifteen near-identical store pages simply to increase URL count.
Phase 3: confirm the four mall areas
The achievement list names four area-level clears:
- Main Area — A Warm Welcome
- South Wing — South-Side
- East Wing — Where the Sun Rises
- Restroom Area — Still doesn’t smell that nice
Store completion and area completion overlap, but the public achievement text does not map every store to an area. Do not assume a store belongs to a wing just because two pages mention it near the same screenshot landmark.
Use the mall areas checklist to track area names and the mall map planner for screenshot-backed storefront relationships.
Phase 4: let task milestones accumulate naturally
The task-count achievements progress through:
- first completed task;
- 100;
- 1,000;
- 5,000;
- 10,000;
- 15,000;
- 20,000;
- 25,000;
- 30,000 tasks.
Treat these as progress markers rather than separate grinds. If you are cleaning the mall normally, the count should rise while store and area goals are completed.
Patch v1.0.3 is relevant here because the developer specifically fixed an issue with the number-of-tasks-completed achievement. If a milestone appears wrong, first confirm that the game is current before inventing a new requirement or assuming the save is permanently broken.
Phase 5: reach maximum level
Head Custodian requires reaching the maximum level. The public achievement text confirms the goal but does not publish the numeric cap, the full XP curve or every ability unlock.
For that reason, this checklist does not attach a guessed level number to the achievement. Use the abilities and leveling guide for the distinction between developer-confirmed mechanics and player-reported progression details.
Final mall audit
When only a few tasks remain, stop wandering randomly. Audit one task category at a time.
Products
Check store thresholds, endcaps, temporary uncertainty piles and items sitting near the wrong fixture. Player reports say products generally remain in or near the store they belong to, so search locally before crossing the mall.
Rubbish
Walk wall edges, corners, seating clusters, counters and dense display areas. A clean-looking central aisle does not prove every edge has been checked.
Spills
Run a dedicated floor pass after obvious rubbish is gone. Clutter can hide small floor marks.
Fallen objects
Inspect furniture silhouettes, signs, chairs, bins, plants and display pieces from more than one viewing direction.
Store and area status
Compare the in-game task state with the store achievements and four area achievements. If one area is incomplete, keep the search bounded to that area before revisiting the whole mall.
Completion blockers to check before blaming the save
- The game is not on the latest patch.
- A store was visually cleaned but one task type remains.
- A product was staged near a store but never placed correctly.
- A task counter achievement is affected by an older build.
- A transition area or store threshold was skipped during the final sweep.
- You are relying on a guessed store-to-wing mapping rather than the in-game area state.
Patch v1.0.4 also changed Gather so it is much less likely to pull a shared item from a different store. That makes the current build easier to reason about than older runs, but it still does not mean every gathered item is automatically a perfect store match.
What counts as 100% on this page?
This checklist uses the published Steam achievements as the measurable definition: complete the named stores and areas, pass the task milestones, reach maximum level and fully clean the mall. It does not claim that every visual secret, undocumented interaction or community challenge is required for Steam achievement completion.
For the exact achievement names and published requirements, see all 33 achievements.
Evidence and limitations
Confirmed by public Steam data: 33 achievements, the 18 store names, the four area names, the task milestones, maximum-level goal and full-mall completion goal. Developer patch evidence: v1.0.3 fixed a task-achievement counting issue and v1.0.4 adjusted Gather behavior. Player-reported: some large stores and the cinema are commonly treated as late-run cleanup targets. Not confirmed: a universal fastest route, fixed task coordinates, exact store item totals for every run or a guaranteed final-task location.
