Dates can appear slightly different across Steam mirrors because of timezone/display differences. The version order and published changes are what matter for guide maintenance.

What changed in v1.0.1?

The first post-launch patch improved several early gameplay and stability behaviors.

Developer notes reported:

  • a larger Gather radius at early levels;
  • additional Gather feedback when objects are outside range or inventory is full;
  • a fix for object-instancing behavior that could contribute to performance problems on some devices;
  • a missing-collision fix that could allow falling out of the map;
  • a graphics-driver warning added to the main menu.

For current guides, the important point is that Gather behavior and stability already changed immediately after launch. Advice based on the release build may not match later versions.

What changed in v1.0.2?

v1.0.2 continued the cleanup of labels and interface behavior.

The published notes included:

  • fixes for mislabeled objects;
  • a fix for mobile/tablet shelves that could show the completion color after only part of the shelf was complete;
  • a dismiss button for the graphics-driver message;
  • a larger allowed field-of-view range.

The shelf fix matters when troubleshooting a store that looks “green” or complete in older screenshots: interface state from an old build should not be treated as permanent completion logic.

What changed in v1.0.3?

v1.0.3 is especially important for achievement hunters.

It:

  • fixed an issue with the number-of-tasks-completed achievement;
  • corrected additional mislabeled objects;
  • fixed a bag placement in The Luxury Store that was not aligned correctly with its shelf.

If a task milestone behaves unexpectedly, update the game before assuming the achievement has a different requirement. The published requirements themselves did not change.

See the task progress guide and 100% completion checklist for the current audit workflow.

What changed in v1.0.4?

The Even Color Update changed item generation for affected color variants in new runs.

The developer’s example explains the intent: a group that previously generated uneven color counts can now generate an even distribution, allowing cleaner color rows.

Important limits:

  • the change applies to newly created runs;
  • existing saves keep their original assigned colors;
  • the patch does not imply that every product has color variants or identical shelf counts.

v1.0.4 also:

  • made Gather much less likely to pull from another store for the few shared items;
  • fixed boxes that appeared too dark;
  • fixed a hole in the cinema floor.

Read the color sorting guide before restarting a long save solely for visual symmetry.

What changed in v1.0.5?

v1.0.5 was published September 24 and is the latest documented patch reviewed for this page.

The update:

  • lets players rebind the key used to pick up from shelves;
  • changes shelf placement so items are placed back-to-front unless an item has multiple colors;
  • includes a mall-loading change previously available through the v1.0.4 experimental branch that had improved crash stability for some users;
  • fixes additional item-label typos.

The loading change is relevant to the crash and DX11/DX12 guide. It means troubleshooting advice should first confirm the user is on v1.0.5 or newer before recommending more invasive workarounds.

The shelf-order change is also version-sensitive. Old videos may show a different automatic placement sequence.

What happened with Steam Cloud?

The developer separately announced that Cloud saves were enabled shortly after launch. The current Steam store also lists Steam Cloud as a supported feature.

Cloud support does not eliminate the value of clean session boundaries. When stopping a long cleanup run, wait for normal save/sync behavior before shutting down or changing devices.

How this wiki handles version-sensitive claims

A guide should distinguish three kinds of information:

  1. Permanent published requirements — for example, an achievement’s stated goal.
  2. Patch-sensitive mechanics — Gather behavior, color generation, shelf placement or loading behavior.
  3. Player observations — useful reports that are not developer specifications.

When a patch changes category 2, the affected guide should update its review date and link back to the patch source. When only a player observation changes, it should not be presented as a developer-confirmed mechanic.
